Respite providers at Nurturing Newborns receive specialized training in the care of fragile infants and toddlers and are supervised by experienced professionals. We are dedicated to supporting parents in their role and providing quality care of special little ones.

Respite Providers may be former childcare providers, educators, therapists, or nurses.

Respite care is a short-term service provided in the homes of families who have an infant or toddler with delays, disabilities, issues from prematurity or a serious illness. Respite care by an experienced caregiver can give parents a chance to take a break, spend time with other family members or seek mental health support.

Respite care provided by a specialized caregiver gives stressed parents time to breath and may also provides companionship during a very difficult time.

No. While our name mentions newborns, we provide respite care to families with fragile children ages 0-3.

We work together with families, other providers and community resources to provide respite care free of charge.
